Often, admission into graduate training schemes or internships require psychometric tests, a variety of applications, and can be competitive.

Graduates often begin their career in manufacturing as engineers or scientists. Interns are often recruited into larger firms before completing their final year. Smaller companies do not always advertise such opportunities, so research into different companies is often necessary.
